Famous rapper Tory Lanez is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office for carrying out assaults on August Alsina. Its reported that incidents took place on September 17. Alsina took Instagram to share his voice on how Tory Lanez assaulted him when he refused to “dap him up”, hence shake his hand.
After the aforementioned incident, Tory Lanez was seen celebrating and jamming like nothing happened. “We are aware of the allegations that the defendant attacked artist August Alsina and are investigating these claims,” stated the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. “The allegations are serious and will be thoroughly examined.” Alsina’s Instagram posts also contained graphic content and he claimed that Lanez assaulted him at the “Fall Back In Love Comedy & Music Jam” show in Chicago on Saturday.

Alsina further titled Lanez as a “leprechaun” who blistered towards him with 8 “oversized” security guards. According to Alsina, Lanez’ motive was to ask him why didn’t he shake hands with him. Alsina in return replied that in light of some past events, he didn’t think the two of them are on the best of terms. He further explained that he has had a deep history of unbalanced “health and condition”. And the doctor advised him to shake as many less hands as possible in contrast of the COVID pandemic and latest monkeypox.
Tory Lanez’ Other Assaults
Lanez has a deep history with the D.A.’s office as he known as “defendant” there. That’s a result of his reference to the assault and weapons charges he faces over the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. Tory Lanez allegedly shot Megan in the feet during an attack in Los Angeles.
How Much Did Tory’s Bail Cost?
Megan’s legal representatives asked the judge to raise Lanez’ bail as he went against the law and broke protective orders. As a result, Lanez had his bail mounted up to $250,000 in September 2021 as a judge found him guilty of breaking the stay away order. The order had instructions that bounded Lanez to not come within 100 yards of Megan or harassing her. Megan’s legal representatives stated that the rapper violated the terms of the order. And tried “to rush the stage” on the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami whilst Megan was still performing.
Lanez had his bail hiked up to $350,000 in April 2021 after a judge found that he violated the terms of the protective orders. Lanez is still undergoing the trial and has to attend a court trial on November 28.
