A very renowned space tourism company, Space Perspective, has now revealed the interior design for a new spaceship. The spaceship will take a lounge-style setting and it will be released into the air stratosphere through a big balloon. The cabin can also house up to 8 passengers.
Space Perspective has entitled it as “the world’s first space lounge” and further stated that they wanted the interior to be different than usual spacecraft. To prove their point, the company instilled a small cocktail bar, reconfigurable and reclining seats, and sustainable materials.
The lounge will get attached to a high-quality air balloon that is designed to give the passengers the maximum pleasure of the surroundings.
“Our mission is to inspire Space Explorers to connect more closely with our planet and each other, and the environment in which they travel with us is central to this,” explained Space Perspective’s co-founder and co-CEO Jane Poynter. “Our Space Lounge is a world away from the white, utilitarian environments you find in other spacecraft.”
Named “The Neptune”, 1.5 meters high panoramic windows will be installed in the lounge. The company states that these are the largest windows ever to be flown into space. The idea is to provide the people on board a mesmerizing experience.
Real Spaceship Interior
However, if we look deeper into the idea of the interior, its meant to give enjoyment and exploration to the passengers. Nothing serious seems to be taking place. The seats can recline and reconfigure to carry out certain activities. Space Perspective also kept the center of the capsule open to conduct group photography sessions. A small bar area just tops it all off. As its surrounded by various windows to provide the passengers with a site never seen before.
“The biggest challenge of designing the interior was to create a multipurpose space that gives users the flexibility to not only sit and enjoy the view but celebrate and share with others,” briefed Taber MacCallum – Space Perspective co-founder and co-CEO.
“We worked hard within the footprint to make the space feel as large and generous as possible, and this is accentuated by the domed ceiling that makes the space feel airy and luxurious,” MacCallum further added.
“We’ve also added a multitude of activities for explorers during the flight, including a telescope, podcasts from astronauts, cameras on the inside and outside, small molecular gastronomy meals and inventive space cocktails.”
Alien Spaceship Interior
Astronauts spend most of their lives in a spacecraft or capsule. But they might be unaware of what an actual alien spaceship looks like. Even some of us don’t have any idea what goes inside an alien spaceship. Intricate systems, complex structures and cryptic language must he witnessed among some alien spacecraft.
Spaceship Interior Concept Art
The idea of spaceships has always enticed humans. We look deeper and deeper into this dilemma to find something alluring. Sometimes we couldn’t so we start imagining things on the perspectives we hold. However, some of us tend to deliver those imaginations in the form of art. Each concept varies in nature but all of them have one thing in common, a spaceship. So here are the best concept arts of a spaceship that might spark up your imagination a bit.
