United States Map With State Names

The United States of America is a federal state that lies in North America. The country has 50 states and most of them lie on the border of Pacific and Atlantic Ocean. United States’ map is a vastly detailed and comprehensive map that includes the names of the states and their capitals as well.

Continuing what we mentioned above, the map of the U.S. not only shows the states and their capitals but also all of the international borders they share with Mexico and Canada. Each U.S. territory is also visible in the map. To put it into perspective, the U.S. map basically shares a coastline with three oceans. The Atlantic, Pacific and some parts of the Arctic Ocean from Alaska’s northern border side. The U.S. map also sheds light on the maritime borders they share with Cuba, Bahamas and Russia (from the Alaskan side).

As we already mentioned above that the map of United States brilliantly showcases all 50 states alongside their major cities, the map also features the railways, interstate highways and airports of each state.

If we talk about facts then United States is actually the third largest country in the world by area. On the basis of figures, it has an area of 3,796,742 sq mi (9,826,675 sq km). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the country has a population of 335,554,543 as of current. The Census Bureau further stated that its the third most populated country across the globe.

Are There 50 Or 52 States In USA?

It’s the most perplexed question that some American citizens hold. This question forms a whirlwind of theories as well. However, there are 50 states in the U.S. Not 52. No states have actually joined the union since Alaska and Hawaii did in 1959. From the start of 1912, then stars on the American national flag have been 48, lined up in six rows of each row carrying eight. Whenever you’re in a doubt for whether there are 50 or 52 states, all you have to do is count the stars on the flag.
