Tiger Woods Will Play At Masters 2022 Despite His Leg Injury

Woods confirms he will be a part of the Masters 2022 after making a miraculous recovery from a car crash. Tiger Woods has insisted he could win the Masters just a year after he was injured in a fatal car crash. The tournament began at Augusta, Georgia, on Thursday, and Woods is hoping to capture the sixth green jacket.

Woods returned to play in Woods’s return to the Master’s Tournament last month, the first time he had competed following the catastrophic car accident. Woods could walk the entire 72-holes at Augusta National, which is a considerable accomplishment, given Tiger Woods leg injury only 14 months before. Following a start of single-under 71 in the opening round and making cuts, Woods finished the tournament with a score of 13.

“I’ve gotten a lot stronger,” Woods told reporters following the practice round on Sunday at Southern Hills Country Club.

Woods said:

“I don’t show up to an event unless I think I can win it, so that’s the attitude I’ve had,” 

“There will be a day when it won’t happen, and I’ll know when that is, but physically the challenge this week is I don’t have to worry about the ball striking or the game of golf. It’s actually just the hills out here. That’s going to be the challenge and it’s going to be a challenge of a major marathon.”
