Repair Your Samsung Phone Personally Now

What if I tell you that you can easily repair your broken Galaxy phone by yourself, would you believe me? Well it’s possible.

In all fairness, tech companies don’t support the movement of someone repairing their device themselves. They think that not everyone is qualified enough to carry out their own repairing process. So that leads us to the “right to repair” movement. Consumers raise awareness, “if I bought it, I should be repairing it”.

Now most companies have already given consumers the green light to carry out their own repairing process. The latest to do is Samsung, quite shockingly.

Right To Repair Movement

When you purchase an expensive product from a company, you get freedom to whatever you want with it. If somehow something unanticipated happens to it, you should hold the liberty to decide whether to repair it by yourself or take it to someone with proper qualification. Now many large tech companies don’t want you to repair it on your own. Surprisingly, some don’t even want you to go to a random qualified person. They want you to come straight to them.

However, the culture is changing. Some companies are getting round to the idea of users repairing their own devices. Even Apple has slightly come onboard with this idea. Samsung is the most recent to join the party. Instead of forcing customers to come straight to them on the slightest of queries, they’re now leaving the decision-making process entirely on them.

Samsung x iFixit

Samsung has partnered up with a retail company, iFixit. They hope to display a genuine platform for the customers who wish to rectify their devices themselves. The programme will offer genuine parts with step-by-step guidelines for the customers.

The following devices will be able to enjoy this programme for now:

  • Galaxy S21
  • Galaxy S21+
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra
  • Galaxy S20
  • Galaxy S20+
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab 7+

If you own one of these devices, you can use iFixit’s resources and guidelines to repair your device. You can alter the display, glass and charging ports. If your case is far beyond, you can order parts from iFixit as well. You can also buy a Fix Kit – which has all the required tools for repairing your Galaxy device. If you don’t have one of these devices mentioned above, don’t get sad. Samsung is well and truly planning to spread their programme to other devices as well. For the time being, you can count on iFixit’s guidelines.

Now the only drawback is that these kits are highly expensive. The Fix Kits go from $168 to $240. The price depends on your device. Yes, they are expensive but the idea behind them is genuine.
