There are definitely celebrities out there that you expected to be super tall.
Models are usually searched around for because of their above-average height. Athletes get paid for standing heads above the rest. There are even actors who get paid for towering over others.
But then there are those celebrities that we shockingly learned are of above-average height. Remember the first time when we found out found out that Elizabeth Debicki was 6’3? Or saw Zendaya tower over Tom Holland?
Every year, that ‘Wow, I had no idea they were that tall’ moment has happened to us quite a bit.

1. Karlie Kloss
As a model, it’s not surprising that Karlie Kloss is above-average height. But while models stand at a average height of 5’10 or 5’11, Karlie Kloss’ 6’2 structure is notable.
2. Maria Sharapova
This one might not be as fair, since Simone Biles (left) is only 4’8. But, Maria Sharapova is 6’2, which explains why she can cover the tennis court so quickly.
3. Gwendoline Christie
Given that Christie is 6’3, it isn’t a surprise that Christie nails the warrior role.
4. Kate Middleton
It might be because we see Middleton standing next to 6’3″ Prince William, but she is quite tall at 5’10.

Australian actress, Elizabeth Debicki, is actually 6’3. Here she is standing next to Margot Robbie who is 5’6.
6. Zendaya
Zendaya, who stands at 5’10, was worried that her height would stop her from landing her role as MJ in the Spider-Man movie. Her 5’8 love interest, Tom Holland, plays Spiderman. “I was worried because he’s so much shorter than me. I was like, ‘Damn it! It’s going to be weird because I’m super tall.’ But then we ended up doing the audition sitting. So that was good,” she had said in an interview.
7. Taylor Swift
Some sources say that she’s 5’10, others say she’s 5’11. But by all means, she’s still very tall.

Game Of Thrones actress Sophie Turner stands at 5’9.
9. Nicole Kidman
When Victoria Beckham, standing at 5’4, Nicole Kidman, she jokingly said “Note to self—wear higher heels when meeting Nicole Kidman.” Won’t lie, it isn’t a bad idea considering Nicole is close to being 6ft.
