Blue noted Petito’s death as a homicide and recorded “Death by manual strangulation/throttling” as the cause of death in a document dated October 5, 2021.

What Did The Teton County Coroner Say?

According to Blue, “our preliminary assessment is the body was in the bush for three to four weeks” before she was discovered, which would place her date of death in the middle to end of August. During his encounter with reporters, Blue avoided being questioned about potential suspects in the woman’s homicide. However, it seemed as though the coroner was suggesting that Petito was a victim of spousal abuse. Sadly, these other tragedies do not receive as much news as this one because domestic violence is a factor in many more deaths across the nation, according to Blue.

Therefore, The cause of Petito’s death is now known to be strangulation as a result of this statement.
