Total Mass Shootings In The States In 2022

Well surprisingly, after the shooting at Highland park, two police officers in Philadelphia also get shot during the independence day celebrations. Thankfully, both were released from the hospital.

In the month of May, an unknown man opened fire on school children in Uvalde, Texas. Unfortunately, 19 school children were murdered alongside two teachers. After 10 days passed to the school incident, another unknown man shot 10 people down at a grocery store in New York.

There’s not a particular terminological meaning to what Mass Shootings are. Some say its an incident in which more than 3 people are shot at the same time, at the same location. If we go along with this criteria, then there have been exactly 351 mass shootings in the United States in 2022 till date. In addition, more than 400 people were killed and more than 1,300 have been severely injured as well.

Although the Uvalde and New York ones are the most terrifying of 2022 so far.

Chicago Left In Misery

What happened in Chicago was quite unanticipated. Minutes after the shooting, hundreds of cops were searching the Highland park area in order to capture the guilty. Although the perpetrator handed himself in personally

The first victim identified on that horrific evening was Nicolas Toledo – A man in his 70s. A statement was released by his family on social media that said:

“My grandfather, Nicolas Toledo, father of eight and grandfather to many left us this morning 4 July, what was supposed to be a fun family day turned into a horrific nightmare for us all,” said his family. “As a family we are broken, and numb.”
