Bob Fosse’s Dancin’ Revival On Broadway In 2023

The Broadway premiere of Bob Fosse’s Dancin’ is scheduled for next year. Opening night scheduled for Sunday, March 19, 2023, and previews for the revival will start at The Music Box Theatre on Thursday, March 2, 2023. The Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego hosted the new musical production earlier this year and ran through May 29, 2022. One of the stars of the original Broadway play and Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento will direct the production, which will co-produced with Nicole Fosse.

Cohan. Colby, Christine Jacques is in charge of recreating Fosse’s choreography, with help from Corinne McFadden Herrera for associate direction and extra choreographic reconstruction, and Lauren Cannon for assistant musical staging and additional choreographic reconstruction.

On March 27, 1978, the Broadhurst Theatre on Broadway hosted the world premiere of Bob Fosse’s DANCIN, which later moved to the Ambassador Theatre. There were 1,774 performances of the play. Seven Tony Awards nominated for DANCIN’, including Best Musical, and Fosse won his eighth Tony for Best Choreography.
